Getting started
Your first sessions
Private Mat is the easiest entry point. It needs no equipment, it can happen online or in your living room, and the whole session is built around your body rather than a group average. If you want reformer work from the start, book Private Equipment at the Newport Beach studio instead. Your first session is free either way.
Yes. One free session per new client, with no card on file and no obligation afterwards. You still complete the new client registration first, because that is what makes the session safe and personalised, but there is nothing to pay.
Fitted clothing so your alignment is visible, and water. Grip socks are ideal but bare feet are completely fine. For home and online sessions bring your own mat and towel if you have them, and say so in advance if you do not. At the Newport Beach studio, mats, towels and all equipment are provided.
You receive a video link when your session is confirmed. You need a mat-sized clear space, a device you can prop up so your whole body is visible, and somewhere to lean it that will not fall over. Props can be substituted with things you already own, and you will be told what to grab beforehand.
Not for mat sessions. Mats and props are brought to in-person mat sessions, and for online sessions household substitutes work fine. Equipment sessions at home are only possible if you already own a reformer or similar apparatus. Otherwise equipment work happens at the Newport Beach studio.
Booking
Scheduling and locations
Create an account, complete your registration once, then choose a time from the live calendar on the schedule page. Everything after that happens from your account, including rescheduling and seeing how many credits you have left. If you would rather ask than pick, use the booking request form instead.
Sessions are one to one or capped at five, so the calendar fills faster than a large studio would. A week ahead is comfortable, and clients on ten packs can hold a standing weekly slot. Same-day requests are worth asking about, because cancellations do happen.
Five people, always. That cap is the whole point: with five in the room every person still gets watched, corrected and adjusted. Larger events can be discussed, but they are quoted separately and may need a second instructor.
Irvine, Newport Beach and the surrounding Orange County area are included in the session price. Anywhere further is quoted before you book, so travel is never added to an invoice after the fact. Online sessions have no travel at all.
Mat packs can be shared with one member of your household. Equipment packs are personal, because the programme is built around one body and one set of measurements. Group credits are per person and can be used for any group session.
Join the waitlist from the schedule page. If a spot opens more than 24 hours before the session and you have a group credit, you are booked in automatically and get a confirmation email. Closer to the time, or without a credit, everyone waiting gets an email and the first to book takes the spot.
Yes. Choose a gift on the plans page and add their name, email and a message, today or on a date you pick. They get a gift code by email, which never expires. The pack’s usual validity starts on the day they redeem it from their account, and their free first session still applies.
A membership gives you a set number of sessions each month, paid monthly on the same date until you cancel. Each month’s sessions are valid until the next payment date and do not roll over. Cancel online any time from your account: nothing more is charged, and you keep the sessions you have already paid for until the end of that month.
Policy
Cancellation and no-shows
These sessions are reserved for you alone, so a late cancellation usually cannot be filled. The window is 24 hours.
- More than 24 hours before your session. Cancel or reschedule from your account at no cost. The credit returns automatically and is available immediately.
- Within 24 hours of your session. The credit is used. This applies to rescheduling as well as cancelling, because the time can rarely be refilled at short notice.
- No-show. If there is no contact and you have not arrived 15 minutes after the start time, the session ends and the credit is used in full.
- Late arrival. Your session still ends at its scheduled finish time so the next client is not affected. Arrive on time and you get your full 60 minutes.
- Home sessions. A safe, clear, mat-sized space needs to be ready at the start time. If the space cannot be made safe on arrival the session counts as used.
- Illness and genuine emergencies. Get in touch as early as you can and it will be handled case by case. Nobody has ever been charged for staying home with a fever, and you will not be the first.
- If the instructor cancels. Your credit is returned in full and you get first choice of the next available time. If it happens twice in a pack, the pack expiry is extended by a month.
Policy
How long credits last
Expiry windows follow standard practice across Pilates studios, scaled to the size of the pack. Your account always shows the exact date.
- Intro Three30 days from your first booked session
- Five packs (all types)3 months from purchase
- Ten packs (all types)6 months from purchase
- Single sessions90 days from purchase
- MembershipsEach month’s sessions until the next payment date
- Gift codesNever expire. The pack’s validity starts when redeemed
- Private group and event bookingsBooked for a specific date
- Extensions. One extension of up to 30 days is available for a documented medical reason, pregnancy, or extended travel. Ask before the pack expires rather than after.
- After expiry. Expired credits have no cash value and cannot be reinstated, which is why the expiry date appears in your account and in your reminder emails.
- Pausing. If something significant happens partway through a pack, get in touch. Freezing a pack is usually possible and is always better than losing it.
Policy
Refunds
- Within 14 days of purchase. Unused packs are fully refundable. If you have already used a session, the refund is the purchase price minus the used sessions charged at the single-session rate.
- After 14 days. Unused, unexpired credits can be transferred to another session type or held as studio credit, but are no longer refundable to your card.
- Single sessions. Fully refundable if cancelled more than 24 hours ahead. Inside 24 hours the normal cancellation policy applies.
- Intro Three. Refundable in full before the first session is used, and non-refundable after that, since it is priced below the standard rate.
- Events and private groups. The deposit secures your date and is non-refundable inside 7 days of the event. Outside that window it is refunded in full.
- Medical reasons. Unused credits are refunded in full, at any point, with a note from your doctor. This overrides every other line above.
- Processing. Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually take 5 to 10 business days to appear.
Policy
Health, safety and your waiver
Every client completes a registration and agrees to a health waiver before their first session. It takes about ten minutes and you only do it once.
- What the waiver says. That Pilates is physical exercise which carries inherent risk, that the information you have given is accurate, and that you will report any change in your health or physical condition.
- What this is not. Pilates instruction is not medical treatment, physical therapy, or diagnosis. Nothing said in a session replaces advice from your doctor or physiotherapist.
- Doctor clearance. If you are under a doctor's care, pregnant or postpartum, recovering from surgery, or managing a diagnosed condition, please confirm you are cleared for exercise before your first session.
- Telling us things. Injuries, pregnancy, surgery, blood pressure, hypermobility, osteoporosis, scoliosis, disc issues and arthritis all change how a session is built. There is nothing on that list that means you cannot practise, and everything on it changes what we do.
- Photos and video. Reference photos or video for posture and movement analysis are optional and only taken with your explicit consent. They are shared with you and nobody else, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
- Your information. Registration details are used to plan your sessions and to reach you or your emergency contact. They are not sold, shared or used for marketing.

Ask before you book
If something here is unclear or your situation does not fit neatly into any of it, just ask. A ten-minute conversation solves most of it.
