About
Our Story
A studio that began in recovery, and a stubborn belief that movement should leave you calmer than it found you.
How it began
It began with a mother who could not get back up.
Eunice Bekce became very ill after giving birth. What should have been the softest season of her life turned into one spent trying to find her way back to a body she no longer recognised.
Healing came, and she does not describe it as anything other than a gift from God. But being given your health back and knowing what to do with it are two different things. Rebuilding took something slower and more deliberate than she expected, and that is where Pilates came in.
Strength returned the way it usually does: quietly, in small increments, over months rather than weeks. Breath first, then alignment, then the ability to pick up her child without bracing for it. That process was so significant that she decided to learn how to give it to other people properly.
Eunice is now a graduate student in the BASI Pilates comprehensive program, a globally recognised certification in the art and science of movement, and she graduates at the end of this year. Psalm Pilates is what she built along the way.
A note from Eunice
“I want you to leave feeling more at home in your body than when we started. That is the whole ambition.”
I know what it is to be handed a body that will not cooperate, and to feel like every fitness space assumes you are starting from somewhere you are not. You will not find that here. We start from where you actually are, on the day you actually arrive.
Sessions open with a verse and close in gratitude, because that is how this work was given to me and I will not pretend otherwise. Nobody is asked to pray and nobody is treated differently for sitting it out. You are welcome exactly as you are, and that part is not conditional.
If you are nervous about your first session, message me before you book. I would much rather answer ten questions than have you talk yourself out of it.

What we hold to
Four things we will not compromise
Reverence
Your body is a gift, not a project. We train it with care rather than punishment, and we never sell shame as motivation.
Precision
The BASI method done properly. Fewer repetitions, better ones, with hands-on correction and an anatomical reason behind every cue.
Welcome
Every age, every size, every level of belief and flexibility. If we can find a space and a time, we can work with you.
Rest
Sundays are closed and we mean it. Rest is part of the practice, not the reward you earn after it.
